Fashion label Stella McCartney introduced a new store formula in Paris, focused on sustainability. The brand wants to open new stores in Florence, Los Angeles and New York in the summer.
Ecological design
Last week, the luxury fashion brand opened a new 180 sqm store, spread across two floors, in the Rue Saint-Honoré in Paris, its second store in the French capital. The entire store layout is ecologically inspired, using organic, sustainable and hand-crafted materials, including custom-made ceramic tiles, reclaimed wood and concrete.
The store opening is part of Stella McCartney’s new retail strategy, designed to expand its own store network. The brand, part of the Kering group (Gucci, Saint-Laurent, Alexander McQueen, …), already obtained three stores in Hong Kong last year and it will open three more stores in July: on the Via Dei Toshinghi (Florence), the South Coast Plaza in Costa Mesa (near Los Angeles) and in Madison Avenue (New York). By the end of July, it will have 51 single-brand stores of its own.
