Dutch fashion brand Scotch & Soda will soon open boutiques in Dijon and Paris, to add to its nine boutiques in France.
International expansion
The clothing brand from Amsterdam will open its very first boutique in Dijon in July and its fourth in Paris (in Bercy Village), bringing its local total to eleven. Only a few weeks ago, it opened a third outlet store in France, in the brand new Miramas outlet village in Bouches-du-Rhône.
Founded in 1985 and sold to American Kellwood Company (backed by Sun Capital Partners) for 350 million euro in 2011, Scotch & Soda currently has about 170 stores worldwide. Its product range is also on sale in about 8,000 multi brand stores. Ever since the Americans took over, its international expansion has been a prime focus. 65 % of its 325.9 million euro turnover last year comes from its wholesale activities. However, the company has turned its attention to its own store network recently.
