Dutch clothing brand Tumble ’N Dry will head to China in September, with its own web shop on Alibaba subsidiary, Tmall. It will become the first non-European market for the brand.
Enormous opportunity
“We consider this to be an enormous opportunity to get to know the Chinese market”, eCommerce manager Rachel Gans said in a press release. “Our style and pricing are a good fit for the Chinese consumer. We feel honoured to have our brand on the platform and it is also a beautiful adventure.”
Janneke van der Meij founded Tumble ’N Dry ten years ago, offering clothing for children aged zero until twelve. The brand is available in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Scandinavia and in China soon. The brand also has six stores and two outlet stores in the Netherlands.
It has also been contemplating a foreign store, in Germany or Belgium, with other expansion plans also being drafted. Tumble ‘N Dry has been part of Varova Fashion Group since 2012, a group that has also invested in brands like Men at Work, Hess and Sissy-Boy.
