Belgian fashion group Cassis Paprika continues its international expansion as it is heading to Germany. It struck a deal with Galeria Kaufhof, Otto and Amazon. Germany will become the group’s fourth foreign market.
Expansion in other countries as well
Paprika’s collections, designed for plus-sized women, will be on sale at about thirty Galeria Kaufhof locations. Deals with Otto and Amazon should also provide a huge online sales surge. German Otto is the second largest European online fashion channel.
In Belgium, Cassis Paprika not only has the Paprika, but also the Cassis fashion brand available, with about one hundred stores. The chain does not plan any further expansion here, but “We will continue to open new stores abroad”, CEO Vincent Rousseau said. Paprika has about twenty stores both in the Netherlands and France, but Rousseau thinks there is room for additional stores in both countries. The chain will definitely add another five to ten stores in the Netherlands. Cassis Paprika’s fourth foreign market is Luxembourg.
