No more European CEO for Delhaize
Whether Descheemaeker resigned voluntarily or whether the (new) management stimulated him to go, is unknown. Outgoing group CEO, Pierre-Olivier Beckers thanked him by stating that Stéfan “has been an energetic leader who raised the organization’s focus on cash-flow generation and brought the company to a higher level of performance while steadfastly promoting the company values”.
Frans Muller has emphasized he will work closely with Pierre Bouchut, Delhaize Group’s financial director and that he will not forget to find and appoint a new CEO for Delhaize America.
