After seventeen years, Vincent Herbert has decided to step down as CEO at Le Pain Quotidien. Jerry Gamez, who has plenty of experience at fastfood chain Burger King and Walmart, will succeed him.
Expansion
During Herbert’s reign, the bakery chain expanded to more than 250 locations in 21 countries. Jerry Gamez, having worked for Burger King in Europe and the United States, will succeed him on 1 March, according to Belgian newspaper De Tijd.
The company revealed several weeks ago that its capital would be increased from 10.5 million euro to 43.8 million euro, in part thanks to additional investments made by the current shareholders. Le Pain Quotidien will use the additional funds to support a further expansion, for instance in Asia.
