The bpost Omnichannel Award 2018 has just been awarded at the RetailDetail Omnichannel Congress: JBC won the award, ahead of ZEB and Sissy-Boy.
Exciting until the end
The jury faced an arduous task to create a three-company shortlist from a sizeable longlist, but the jury spoke in glowing terms about the three companies that were left. It felt JBC not only has a good-looking, new, mobile-friendly web shop with plenty of personalization, but also managed to successfully integrate every backend system to create a top-notch omnichannel customer experience, from mobile and desktop to store and booth.
Lifestyle retailer Sissy-Boy received a lot of praise because its stores are not points of sale, but inspiring “points of connection” that use the online platform differently depending on the category. Online already contributes 60 % for couches and its recently-launched app generated 50,000 downloads in no time. ZEB says it does not really believe in pure e-commerce, but does consider omnichannel as a service for customers that continuously switch between online orientation, orders, offline purchases and delivery at home, at the office or in one of the digitized stores.
In the end, JBC convinced the most attendees at the RetailDetail Omnichannel Congress in Utopolis Mechelen.
