Focusing on international expansion
Scotch & Soda started a web shop
for the United States this summer and appointed Tony Strippoli as its
United States manager. It is going the extra mile to train new employees
adequately: every single one, even store personnel, is being flown to Amsterdam
for training, in order to turn them into a “real follower of the Scotch &
Soda philosophy”.
Sun Capital Partners’ purchase of Scotch & Soda in 2011 quickly made it clear that the fashion label would turn its attention towards international
expansion. “Sun Capital has helped us
accelerate the growth of the brand. That is what they are there for”, brand
manager Alex Jaspers told WWD.com.
