Thousands of people queued to get into the new Primark store in Antwerp as soon as they could. At 5900 sqm, it is the Irish chain’s largest store in Belgium.
Shop in shops to ensure experience
The new Primark hopes to give its customers a special experience: situated in a former bank built in 1909, the store is located on Antwerp’s most important shopping street Meir. To give the store a local touch, a diamond motive has been used for the new floors. The jeans corners have been conceived as separate shop-in-shops, while LED screens and an abundance of mirrors also try to get the shoppers involved. The most beautiful room in the building has been turned into a Harry Potter universe, featuring clothing and merchandise.
Up to 3000 customers can shop at the same time and custumer flow is guaranteed through 80 fitting rooms and 67 checkout desks, staffed by a team of 550.
