Order today, pick it up tomorrow
“Collect-In-Store” had been successfully tested this spring in
Great Britain and was then slowly
expanded. That was a success, as Burberry’s most recent trading update
mentioned: “Sales through iPads in stores and the ‘order online, pick up in the
store’ concept both performed strongly, as consumers continue to change their
behaviour.”
It is therefore no surprise that Burberry is notifying its fans with an email, saying
that its “Collect-In-Store” service will
be expanding to more countries and an increasing number of boutiques.
Currently, consumers in 19 countries are able to purchase Burberry products
this way.
Belgium and the Netherlands are among
these nations: Burberry has its own boutiques in Amsterdam (PC Hooftstraat), Antwerp (Schuttershofstraat)
and Brussels (Waterloolaan). Remarkable is that Burberry guarantees a pick-up the day after the
order was made (if made before 15h on a weekday). Consumers have ten days to
pick up their orders in a Burberry boutique of their choice.
