General manager Hans Zoon has decided to leave optician chain Hans Anders, after a long career at the Dutch company. He is particularly proud of the growth of his company in Belgium.
Amazing years
Zoon has worked at Hans Anders for 32 years in Belgium, France and the Netherlands. Especially in Belgium, the last seven years have been amazing, he says: “We have managed to double the turnover and we have done that through autonomous growth in existing stores. We have done so by making the customer the centre of everything: asking ourselves what he or she expects from us. We have changed the store concept and invested in training our staff, and were rewarded with an increased customer satisfaction level: our NPS is 56. In short: our concept is ready, now we can get back to opening new stores.”
That expansion will go on without Zoon however: he says the job of general manager is very intense and as the company enters a new phase, a new person should be at the helm. “I feel it is time to pass the baton, I want to recharge my batteries and spend more time with my family.” The recruitment process for his successor is underway, says Zoon: “More information about that is to be expected soon.”
