As the role of CEO is different now Blokker is for sale, Rob Schuyt makes way for transition specialist Geert Kampschöer.

On 14 February, Blokker Belgium will end its relationship with current CEO Schuyt. Geert Kampschöer is to be his successor, Blokker says in a press release. The company thanks Schuyt for his role in modernising its product range “which was applauded by the customers”, but says a new CEO has to tackle completely different problems as the retail chains in the Blokker Holding are being sold.
The chain with 660 employees in 125 Belgian stores had a turnover of 86.9 million euros last year. In November last year, the owning family decided to sell its onerous holding. With the recent sale of Maxi Toys to Portuguese investors, only the eponymous chain and Big Bazar are still for sale.
