Scan article numbers
Consumers can now look up product by product classification or through the
search function. They then immediately see the availability of the actual store and how to construct the product. If
someone wants the product, it can be added to a shopping cart when the article
number is scanned.
This new scan option should allow users to check items when they put them in
their cart. Scanning the barcode or the
article number will tick the article’s box on the shopping list.
IKEA has also thought about those customers without a data subscription for their
smartphone or tablet. The
local wifi can be used, free of charge. The updated app, with scan option, can be downloaded through the App Store
(iOS) or Google Play (Android).
