“Direct service”
“As the current distribution contract for the Benelux area ends 1 April 2014, we can proudly announce that Dr. Martens / Airwair will create twee new subsidiaries to offer these markets and consumers a direct service”, Dr. Martens stated. FROS will continue to be Dr. Martens’ exclusive distributor until the end of March. That “includes the placement and handling of the Fall/Winter 2014 collections up until 30 September”.
The new Benelux team consists of three people: Rafshan Amir will become the Benelux country manager, responsible for the entire Dutch region. Dr. Martens is putting the finishing touches on a new showroom in the C.A.S.T. (the Centre for Accessories, Shoes and Handbags), in Nieuwegein.
Joni Verheyleweghen will take charge of Belgian and Luxembourgish sales, working from the Trade Mart at the Heizel (Brussels). He will report directly to Rafshan Amir. Fiona Spoormaker will be operating from Paris as the relay between the Benelux area and the processing unit in France.
