Its latest store in shopping centre Belle-Ile in Liège means French children fashion chain Tape à l’œil has opened its 24th store in Belgium.
Aiming for Flanders
Despite the opening in Liège, the chain has its focus on the Dutch-speaking part of Belgium. In April, TAO opened its second store in Flanders and director BeLux Bernard Sombreffe told RetailDetail that he would love to open stores in shopping centres like Waasland and major cities like Antwerp.
Tape à l’œil sells accessible fashion items for children up to 16 years old. The chain is a part of the French retail empire Association Familiale Mulliez, which also has participations in chains like Auchan, Boulanger, Decathlon, Jules, Kiabi, Leroy Merlin, Pimkie and Saint-Maclou.
