Belgian designer Veronique Branquinho announced she will (temporarily) suspend her own fashion label, not the first time she has done so.
Second break
Branquinho’s latest collection was launched earlier this year at the Parisian fashion week, but it will be her last for now. The designer decided to stop twenty years after her first show. The collaboration with Italian manufacturer Onward Luxury Group will also be halted. “I want to thank Franco Pené and the entire Onward Luxury Group team to give me the opportunity to express my vision over the past five years”, Branquinho said in a short statement.
She also decided to stop her own fashion label in 2009, but returned to fashion three years later and entered a collaboration with Italian manufacturer Gibo, now Onward Luxury Group. It is not clear whether this is the end of the line or whether it is just another break. Branquinho does not want to comment on her decision any further at this point in time.
