French supermarket group Casino is expanding its partnership with Amazon to the whole of France. Currently, only customers in Paris can order Casino’s subsidiary Monoprix’ private label products through Amazon.

Last September, Monoprix started a partnership in which Amazon delivered the chain’s private label products within two hours through its Prime Now programme, but only in Paris. Now the partnership is expanded both geographically and with extra services.
In a thousand stores of all the chains belonging to the Casino group (including Géant, Hyper Casino and Leader Price) Amazon will install its Amazon Lockers, allowing customers to collect their parcels in the participating supermarkets and hypermarkets. They should all be in operation before the end of the year.
In return, amazon.fr will offer its customers thousands of Casino private label products, including fresh produce, wines and the Casino Délices premium products, giving the retailer a huge new sales channel. The Prime Now home deliveries (within two hours) will also be expanded outside of Paris, to new but as of yet unnamed ‘main French cities’.
