Dairy manufacturer Danone is to optimize its European organization: Belgium, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom and Ireland are to form one cluster. Kris Geeraert, general manager Benelux, will leave the company.
Simplification
In order to react faster to market evolutions, Danone is introducing a new structure for its European organization: Belgium, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom and Ireland are merged into one cluster, led by general manager Adam Grant, who is currently managing director Danone Dairy UK & Ireland.
Stephan van Kuik, currently commercial director Belux, will become business development director for the cluster. Each of the country’s market directors will report directly to him. For Belux, that is current Alpro commercial director Belux, Wim Bauwens. “We will simplify our organization. There will still be boards in every country, even in the Benelux”, Geeraert explains.
He himself has decided to leave Danone. “This is a wonderful company and I have worked here with great pleasure. I have enjoyed every single day, but now I will invest in myself. I want to explore other options and will look for inspiration, travel and study from 1 July onward. Somewhere in 2018, I will decide what I want to do with my career”, he said.
