American restaurant chain TGI Fridays wants to come to Belgium and has given advice agency Francorp a mandate to find a country partner, which would be willing to manage several franchise restaurants in Belgium.
Casual dining American style
TGI Fridays ‑ a reference to the “Thank God it’s Friday” phrase – launched in 1965 in New York and has more than 900 restaurants across the world. Investment funds Sentinel Capital Partners and TriArtisan Capital Partners own the chain, after they bought it in May 2014 from Carlson Companies.
The chain’s focus is casual dining American style: they serve American classics, combined with innovative flavours, all cooked with fresh ingredients. Guests in a hurry can just pop in for a cocktail or a beer at the famous central bar.
According to our Franchising.be colleagues, TGI Fridays tasked specialized advice bureau Francorp to find a country partner that is willing to manage several franchise restaurants in Belgium. It is unclear how many restaurants the Americans want to open and where they will be located.
