Ikea to launch new decoration concept in Paris

Home29 April, 2021

On 23 June, the Swedish furniture giant will open its first branch of Ikea Décoration, a new store concept with a focus on interior accessories. The scoop is for Paris.

Complementary offer

The new store in the French capital will be located on the well-known Rue de Rivoli, reports Business Immo. With this concept, representing 2,900 square metres spread over three floors, Ikea aims to present Parisians with a complementary offer in the field of decoration. The shop will offer 1,900 references of aesthetic and affordable accessories and decorative objects available on site.

The store will be laid out according to the different accessory universes, around a central main aisle with two directions. Digital kiosks will allow customers to order the entire range and have it delivered. The functionality to scan items into the Ikea app will be available from the opening to reduce checkout time.

Sustainable

“The store fulfils Ikea’s ambition to encourage customers to adopt a more sustainable lifestyle at home,” the retailer said in a statement. A ‘green thread’ has been placed throughout the store, drawing attention to the good environmental practices and renewable or recycled materials used in the range.
