Ikea starts tailored interior design advice

Home13 January, 2022

Ikea starts a tailored interior design advice in Belgium. The price depends on the chosen package, starting at 29 euros for a one hour session.

Four packages

The new ‘Interior Design Service’, which Ikea has previously rolled out in other countries as well, wants to make Belgian consumers as well opt for personal, tailored interior design advice. Demand for a service to help choose a design for a home or business space has been on the rise since the pandemic lockdowns.

Customers (and companies) can book one-on-one sessions with an interior design expert. There are three packages for regular consumers, ranging from 29 to 174 euros depending on the extra services included – but all include a one-hour-long chat with an expert. More expensive packages may also include 3D drawings, moodboards, tips and ideas and a shopping list. Business can schedule a free consultation, afterwards the service costs 29 euros per hour.

“Our long-lasting expertise in interior design, which we can now make even more personal for customers, allows Ikea to contribute even more to creating a cosy and familiar surrounding, where our customers can relax”, spokesperson Carolien De Smit explains. “A home where you feel well, a home where you can relax, work and be together with friends and family: that has become even more important in this New Normal.”
