Groupe J. Bogart, the owner of Planet Parfum and Di! in Belgium, wants to strengthen its position in France by acquiring 41 Nocibé stores.
41 additional stores
In a press release, Groupe Bogart announced it made a binding offer to acquire part of the assets of French cosmetics chain Nocibé. Financial details are undisclosed, but the group adds that it will finance the transaction from its own resources.
With 600 points of sale, Nocibé generates an annual turnover of almost one billion euros in France. However, at the beginning of this year, the owner Groupe Douglas announced the closure of 62 Nocibé stores in France. Groupe Bogart’s offer includes the acquisition of 41 of those stores. As a result, 221 jobs could be secured.
Through the deal, Groupe Bogart would increase its store network in France by more than double the amount, from 30 to 71 stores. Worldwide, it would reach more than 400 outlets. In Belgium, the French listed company owns the chains Planet Parfum and Di!, accounting for approximately 200 stores.
