Yves Rocher no longer sees any future prospects in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. The French cosmetics group is closing all of its 140 stores there, ending 350 jobs.
Webshop remains open
Yves Rocher is withdrawing from the German-speaking countries in the coming months. “The past two years have presented us with enormous economic challenges. With its current business model, Yves Rocher can no longer continue to operate sustainably and successfully”, the company stated. Nevertheless, the brand will not disappear completely from the German market: “Our customers will continue to find our products in our online shop.”
Yves Rocher is considered a pioneer in natural cosmetics. The group employs more than 15,000 people and generates annual sales of more than 2.3 billion euros. Two years ago, the chain also closed all its shops in the Netherlands.
