A floating sphere: that is what the new Apple Store in Singapore will look like. The store covers an area of around 1,580 sqm and it… floats.
Eye-catcher
In Marina Bay Sands, a luxurious complex of hotels, casinos and a shopping mall in Singapore, a remarkable new Apple Store is about to open its doors. Apple’s third store in the city is certain to be the eye-catcher. Located in the Bay of Singapore, with skyscrapers in the background, the outside access to the spherical store is a long path that also seems to float – but visitors can also take the underground tunnel through the Marina Bay Sands shopping mall.
Apple stores have been a feat of modern architecture before, yet this is the first flagship store in the water for the electronics manufacturer. Apple has not said when the opening is scheduled, but a spokesperson said it is coming “soon”.
