Electronics giant Samsung opened a pop-up store in the Kalverstraat in Amsterdam, with a total focus on the Samsung Gear VR, its very own “virtual reality” glasses that use the company’s smartphones.
Samsung Galaxy S7 as well
“The Gear VR pop-up store lets people see how Samsung is shaping the future. We expect VR to really alter our lives in the next few years and we want people to experience its possibilities in the Kalverstraat’s pop-up store”, Samsung Netherlands’ Marketing Manager Mobile, Gerben van Walt Meijer, said.
The company will also present the Gear 360 in the pop-up store, a camera that allows consumers to create their own VR experience, thanks to camera’s that shoot video in all angles, 360 degrees. Afterwards, Gear VR lets you watch those videos.
Not only Gear VR will be showcased, as its flagship products will also be on display: the Galaxy S7 and the Galaxy S7 Edge, which were just presented on the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.
