The German online fashion platform About You, with retail group Otto as one of its investors, will officially launch in the Netherlands and Belgium this fall. The platform will sell a range of well-known fashion brands.
Use influencers
The Dutch web shop already launched, but will only officially launch this fall, backed by a broad marketing campaign on a range of channels. About You will sell fashion brands like Diesel, Replay, Esprit, G-Star Raw, Tom Tailor and Adidas Originals, but also its own About You brand to young consumers. In order to attract their attention, it will use popular “influencers”.
The brand platform works similarly to Amazon or Zalando. Its German web shop, which launched three years ago, has over 800 fashion brands, 2.5 million customers and a 135 million euro turnover. For this year, it has forecast a turnover growth, up to a figure between 250 and 280 million euro.
