Inno is moving its headquarters away from its famous location on the Rue Neuve: this week, the 127 year tenure ends as the department store chain is moving its central services into a new site on Avenue Louise – also in Brussels.
New corporate culture
Inno opened its first department store on Rue Neuve in Brussels in 1897, but now its central services relocate to the – not that much less iconic – Avenue Louise. Yesterday, the more than 100 staff and management went to work at the new headquarters for the first time.
Inno’s central services needed a breath of fresh air, CEO Armin Devender says: “Besides the rebranding and remodelling, our strategic repositioning also includes building a new company culture. The new location will give the team another boost to pursue the successful momentum of recent years, in which INNO succeeded to become a profitable retailer once again. We, together with the new shareholders, are ready to grow even faster.”
Inno was acquired by Swedish and Icelandic investors in July, but this has nothing to do with the move, Devender said. The headquarter move was already decided a good year ago, but the timing suits the company very well now: “We, together with the new shareholders, are ready to grow even faster”, the CEO concluded.
