The Yoox Net-a-Porter Group and Armani have announced they will extend their collaboration: in better connecting online and offline, they want to improve the shopping experience for their customers.
Improve stock management
Yoox Net-a-Porter’s worldwide logistical network, combined with the latest technological developments, should allow Armani to integrate its webshop with its physical stores. The ultimate goal is to make shopping (especially online) easier and more efficient.
These innovations should make sure Armani’s complete stock – in distribution centres and in stores – is visible and available for customers. The availability of stock will decide where the orders will be fulfilled: this increase in flexibility is meant to allow customers to view more products and buy all available items, regardless of where they are located.
The first improvements are scheduled to be implemented next year, the whole process will take an estimated two years.
