Veritas, a Belgian retailer specialising in fashion accessories, is opening its first shop in the Netherlands on 19 May.
Opening in Breda
Veritas’ first Dutch branch will open on 19 May in the Eindstraat, in Breda’s shopping heart. The opening is the start of further expansion in the Netherlands: Den Bosch and Maastricht are scheduled to open in September, according to vacancies on the chain’s website.
Veritas celebrated its 130th anniversary last year and currently has 127 shops in Belgium and Luxembourg. The retailer has been owned by a consortium of Belgian entrepreneurs, including Hubo chief Erwin Van Osta, Walter Van Gastel and Mark Van Hool (of the bus manufacturer of the same name), following a relaunch in 2019.
