C&A has introduced its webshop to another eleven countries, instantly more than doubling the range of its online activities. Denmark, Finland, Greece and Sweden are completely new markets, where the chain doesn’t have physical stores yet.
Four countries with no previous C&A presence
“This additional online store is the next big step in expanding our online activities”, said Dr. Andreas Hammer, Director E-Commerce Europe. The seven new countries where the chain did already have physical stores, are Croatia, Czechia, Hungary, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia and Slovenia. “We know that many people from these countries regret that they cannot order our fashion online. The launch of the EU Shop is good news for them”, Hammer said.
The new web shop is only available in English and the euro is the currency, even in countries which have another currency. “The platform rightly deserves the name ‘EU Shop’: No matter from which country the customer comes from, the offer and prices are completely identical.”
C&A, which has more than 1,500 stores in eighteen European countries, Brazil, Mexico and China, only had nine web shops: Austria, Belgium, Germany, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Poland, Spain and Switzerland. These are all adapted to the country’s language(s). “Nothing changes for customers of these online offers. You can continue to use the online offer as usual in your own language”, C&A said.
