COO Jonathan Ramsden handed in his resignation at Abercrombie & Fitch. On 15 June, he will quit the company that also has had no CEO since Mike Jeffries left at the end of 2014.
Board of Directors will take over
Other members of the Board of Directors, including chairman Arthur Martinez and chief merchandising officer Fran Horowitz, will temporarily take over Ramsden’s day-to-day business. “The board and I are very grateful for Jonathan’s contribution to Abercrombie & Fitch in the past 7 years, readying the company for future profitable growth. We wish him the best”, Martinez said in a statement on Ramsden’s departure.
“The decision to leave was a very difficult one, but I know the company is in the hands of an outstanding leadership team and that we have built a strong foundation for growth and success”, Ramsden said. The COO had been Abercrombie & Fitch’s vice-president and CFO until he became COO in January 2014.
