Spanish fashion group Cortefiel has appointed Miquel Jaurne as its new CEO, succeeding Ramon Gago who decided to leave the company for personal reasons.
With the company for 10 years
For the past 10 years Miquel Jaurne had been CEO at Women’s Secret, which also belongs to the Cortefiel group. The lingerie brand was the strongest performer of the group in 2014, when its turnover grew 10.5 %.
Ramon Gago, a former Inditex director, only became Cortefiel and its brand Pedro del Hierro’s CEO in 2015 and was asked to redesign the brand and kickstart Cortefiel’s further international expansion.
Spanish Cortefiel Group consists of several brands: Cortefiel, Women’s Secret, Pedro del Hierro, Fifty Factory and Springfield. It employs more than 9,000 people in more than 2,000 stores across 70 countries worldwide.
