Belgian fashion label Essentiel Antwerp is expanding to the United States next month, opening an online store as well as a physical shop. For the latter, the brand has chosen New York’s hip fashion district SoHo.
To the US
Essentiel Antwerp announced the news on Instagram and via fluorescent flyers in its stores: “Expanding to the US soon”, they say. The physical store will open on Wooster Street, in the famous shopping district SoHo that is frequented by locals and tourists alike. Fashion and luxury brands such as Chanel, Celine and Marc Jacobs already have stores there.
Essentiel (Antwerp) was founded in 1999 by Inge Onsea and Esfan Eghtessadi and is known for its colourful collections. The brand recently became an international hit thanks to the popular Netflix series Emily in Paris. In recent years, the brand innovated with the launch of a party dress rental service and the second-hand webshop RE-SSENTIEL.
