Essentiel Antwerp is continuing its international expansion. The Belgian fashion label has had a strong year and recently opened its first store in London.
Expansion
Essentiel Antwerp already has a network of 55 stores spread out across Belgium, the Netherlands, France, Germany, Spain, Switzerland, China and Korea. Now the brand also has its own outlet in London. The luxury label did already have a presence in the UK through a concession with Harvey Nichols as well as a multi-brand store.
Located on Sloane Square, the new store is 130 sqm, has two storeys and will exclusively sell women’s fashion. The label has prioritised the British market and is already busy looking for a second location in London.
Essentiel Antwerp is also planning to open new outlets in France and China this year, among other markets. In France, the brand already has four of its own outlets. In 2017, they opened their first store in China and by the end of the summer a second one will be added in Shanghai.
Last year, Essentiel Antwerp showed strong growth, generating a turnover of about 57 million euros. The company is said to be in talks with potential investors to support the further development of the Belgian brand through a minority interest.
