Portuguese shoe brand Eureka Shoes will pen its first Dutch store in Stardshart Amstelveen on 28 April, following a pop-up store late last year in Amsterdam.
Start in the Netherlands
The 42 sqm store will stand alongside Christ and Timberland in the shopping center. Late last year, it already has a three-month pop-up store in the Hobbernastraat in Amsterdam, which was its first taste of the Dutch market. The brand has been available in the Netherlands for a while now, through That Store in Amsterdam, but it is its first personal foray into the Dutch market.
The store opening fits the rest of the stores in the shopping center, with formulas like de Bijenkorf, Scotch & Soda, ZARA, We are Labels, Massimo Dutti, Nespresso, G-Star Women, Superdry and Van Gils already present. To strengthen its regional position, the shopping center even opened a range of new stores last year.
Collaborate with social influencers
Eureka Shoes often collaborates with social influencers that have a connection with its brand. Carolien Spoor (actress) and Amanda Rijff (beauty blogger) have both highlighted the brand on their social media channels and former football player Edgar Davids even has his own shoe collection with Eureka Shoes, a brand also available online at www.eurekashoes.com.
Eureka Shoes has its own hand-made collection of shoes for both men and women and its own brands like Eureka and Eureka Concept Collection, but it also sells other brands like Café Noir and Vicenza. The Eureka brand has four additional labels: Filipe Sousa for fashion forward fashionistas with their own fashion sense; Miss Julia for a casual collection with bright details; Mr. Sousa for sophisticated gentlemen and Eureka Concept Collection for exclusive and limited edition models. All throughout the season, the collections are shipped to stores, meaning there is always something new available.
Eureka Shoes
Eureka Shoes is part of Alberto Sousa Limitada, a Portuguese shoe factory in Vizela founded thirty years ago. It manufacturers shoes for high-end brands like Isabel Marant, Lanvin, Birckenstock, Palladium and COS. It even creates shoe collections for H&M’s collaborations with Jimmy Choo and Martin Margiela. Alongside shoes, it also launches it own line of leather accessories, like bags, wallets and belts, every season.
Eureka Shoes currently has about 33 stores in Portugal’s major cities, one store in Luxembourg and Germany and a web shop that launched last year.
