Swedish fashion chain Monki will expand to Belgium in November, with a store located in Antwerp. The 550 sqm concept store will arrive on the Meir, Antwerp’s largest shopping street. The brand is one of H&M Group’s independent brands.
Largest store
“Antwerp is a wonderful city, famous in the fashion industry”, CEO Lea Rytz Goldman. “We cannot wait to present our Belgian customers the one and only Monki experience in our largest store to date.”
The store in Antwerp is part of the formula that has permeated the brand’s 115 other European and Asian stores, called “Monki World”. The store will be spread across two floors, with a lot of white light and features of rainbow colours, pastel, gold, wood and glitter. The elaborate shoe division, a disco ball and a lounge with smartphone charging stations, plants and a merry-go-round will be the store’s other major features.
Monki, founded in 2006, presents a mixture of Scandinavian cool and Asian street style.
