French fast-fashion retailer Naumy has opened its first store in the centre of Liège. The chain is looking to expand in Belgium, beginning with a further store in Namur.

An interesting newcomer is entering the Belgian market: Naumy has opened its second Belgian store in Liege’s Galeries Saint-Lambert shopping centre, local website todayinliege.be reports. The French fashion discounter packs in a wide range for women, men and children on 1700 sqm. Besides clothes, the chain also sells make-up. Prices range from 10 euros for a pair of jeans or a dress to 150 euros for more exclusive pieces.
In France, Naumy now has more than forty physical outlets, as well as a webshop. The chain aims to be a local competitor to Irish chain Primark, with low-priced fashion of which 60 % is produced in Europe – the rest comes from China. New collections appear every week in the shops, which do not hold stock. The retailer is aiming for rapid growth, with an ambition to have 100 shops by the end of this year. In Belgium, a first shop opened in Brussels’ Nieuwstraat last autumn; Namur would be the next target
