Fashion brand Gucci has opened a museum and a restaurant for fifty people in Florence. Three-star chef Massimo Bottura will serve high-quality meals there. A dish will cost between 20 and 30 euro.
Gucci Garden
The restaurant is located at the Palazzo della Mercanzia, a fourteenth century building with a view on the famous Piazza della Signoria. The restaurant is part of Gucci Garden, which also has an exhibition area, a boutique and a cinema. The Gucci Garden also has several themed rooms, visualizing Gucci’s vision of the future. There is also plenty of room to appreciate the past, like a room where you can gaze upon Gucci’s logo throughout the years.
The Gucci Garden was opened on 10 January, during the Pitti Uomo, which is a biennial men’s fashion convention. A museum visit will cost eight euro, half of which is donated to a charity focused on preserving Florence’s buildings.
