Inditex (Zara, Bershka, Pull&Bear) will soon have the largest distribution centre in the Netherlands. The fashion giant is almost doubling its distribution centre right next to the Lelystad airport to 300,000 sqm.
Netherlands as a hub
The distribution centre now measures 170,000 sqm and is Inditex’s only dc outside its Spanish home market. The enlargement means it would become the largest warehouse in the Netherlands, Dutch newspaper Financieele Dagblad reports.
For the Spanish fashion giant, the expansion reaffirms its choice of the Netherlands as a logistics hub in Northern Europe. The Dutch market is also its second most profitable market, good for 15 % of all profits last year. Globally, the group means to invest two billion euros in distribution centres in 2024 and 2025.
