On 12 January, Louis Vuitton will launch a fundraiser for children in need, a collaboration with Unicef. The company will launch 2 products and part of the proceeds will go to Unicef.
200 dollar to Unicef
With #makeapromise, Louis Vuitton wants to help vulnerable children, exposed to conflicts, diseases, natural disasters and other issues that harm their wellbeing and safety. On 12 January, every salesperson in a Louis Vuitton store will try to sell the two items, a silver necklace and bracelet. They will cost 600 and 500 dollars respectively and 200 dollars will go straight to Unicef.
Louis Vuitton and Unicef’s collaboration will reach its first official birthday on 12 January and it already generated 2.4 million euro in that time. “One year after our successful launch, our teams have come up with this idea to keep our promise alive. […] The idea of the #makeapromise campaign comes from children: when they make a promise, they mean it, and they seal it with a pinky promise”, CEO Michael Burke said.
