Mango expands teenage chain beyond Spain

Fashion2 July, 2024

Mango has expanded its youth chain Mango Teen beyond Spain for the first time. It opened its first international branch in London, near Carnaby Street.

“Gap in the market”

Located at Foubert’s Place, the first Mango Teen shop outside of Spain offers a wide range of clothes, shoes and accessories. The offer ranges from casual to occasion wear, Retail Gazette reports.

Mango Teen was founded in 2021 to “satisfy the fashion needs between childhood and adulthood“. Its first store opened in Barcelona in 2022. “The line fills an existing gap in the market and is leading the way with current, fresh and youthful designs, setting the pace for contemporary young fashion”, Director Mango Kids and Teen, Berta Moral, said.

Moral’s division already accounts for 8 % of group sales and grew by almost 20 % last year. Moral sees the opening of the first international shop for Mango Teen as a turning point, especially since the United Kingdom – which she calls “one of the most important markets in the world of global fashion” – is the place of choice to consolidate the full Mango offering, she adds.
