Current fashion brand Marc O’Polo CEO, Alexander Gedat, will step down on 31 August and Dieter Holzer will succeed him. He has plenty of experience as a leading figure in the fashion industry.
“Change needed to achieve continuous success”
“In order to remain successful in the longer term, one needs to continuously change. Chairman Werner Böck’s philosophy has characterized Marc O’Polo’s development to this day”, a press release states. Based on that philosophy, current CEO Gedat’s contract will not be extended and he will leave the company on 31 August.
His successor, Dieter Holzer, has plenty of experience in the fashion industry, having served as fashion brand Tom Tailor’s CEO for instance.
Marc O’Polo, founded in Swedish Stockholm in 1967, currently operates out of Germany. It has a presence in more than thirty countries and employs nearly 2,000 people. It will celebrate its 50th anniversary in 2017 and developed an exclusive collection with Robbie Williams to that end.
