Mexx, Shabbies and Fred de la Bretoniere have new owners: their parent company RNF has been acquired by HVEG.
Consolidation
The RNF group, which also holds licences for Umbro and Pantofola d’Oro, has been acquired by private label fashion specialist HVEG Fashion Group, Dutch newspaper the Financieele Dagblad reports. The group has been building its growth by acquisitions for some time now, and has also acquired German Sassa Mode this summer.
Neither party has disclosed a concrete acquisition price. RNF recorded a turnover of 126 million euros and a net profit of almost 8 million euros last year. After the takeover, HVEG’s turnover will climb to 285 million euro, not yet including turnover from the various Mexx licences. RNF founders Ferry Helmer and Ron Janssen will remain part of the management board.
