In yet another management change at C&A, CFO and COO Tjeerd van der Zee steps down. The former role will be taken up by Ralf Senden.
Another reshuffle
The new CFO is a close trustee of current CEO Edward Brenninkmeijer and was financial director for the Asian and Latin-American divisions of the company since 2014. Before that, he worked for Unilever, KLM and DHL, German web site manager magazin writes. Van der Zee’s role as COO will become another part of CEO Brenninkmeijer’s job.
Van der Zee leaves the fashion chain to “look for new career challenges”. He has been in the company for thirty years, starting as an intern in 1989 and climbing up to becoming a member of the European board in 2001.
The last twelve months have seen several managerial changes at C&A. Last October, the board of directors was reduced from seven to three in an attempt to improve efficiency, while at the beginning of this year former El Corte Inglés head of women’s fashion Mercedes Gorriti joined the board, in March Alain Caparros stopped as CEO for medical reasons.
