Belgian fashion chain ZEB is expanding into France before the year is over. Celebrating the opening of its 81st Belgian store, the fashion retailer also tells RetailDetail where exactly…
To Alsace (and beyond)
This Sempteber, ZEB will open three shops in France, marketing director Erika Mees told RetailDetail, although the exact dates are not yet known. It is the second venture abroad for the Belgian multi-brand retailer, after the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg.
The stores will open in Soissons (Picardy) and in Marmoutier and Schweighouse-Sur-Moder (both in Alsace). A fourth opening is also already planned for Briey, also in north-east France: that should take place in the summer of 2025.
The chain said it saw room for around 100 ZEB stores in Belgium, after which foreign expansion becomes the only path for further growth. That moment is getting closer, with the opening of its 81st shop in Belgium. The store in Châtelineau, near Charleroi, has a sales area of more than 1,000 sqm and employs seven new employees. ZEB stresses that the employees are trained to give fashion advice and also to help customers with disabilities as part of ZEB For Everyone.
