French sneaker retailer Courir is coming to Belgium with its own stores. The first two outlets will be opened in Brussels, more precisely in City 2 and at the Elsensesteenweg.
Belgium is a good market for sneakers
Belgian consumers are interested in sneakers, French retailer Courir has observed. The shoe store chain is specialised in fashionable sneakers, especially for women. The move to Belgium is part of its international expansion strategy.
Initially, Courir will be opening two stores in Brussels, more precisely in shopping centre City 2 and on the recently restructured Elsensesteenweg. In City 2, the French brand will have a gross commercial surface of 400 sqm on the ground floor. The Elsensesteenweg has recently been turned into a pedestrian zone where Courir will be established at number 57, in a 200-sqm commercial space on the ground floor.
The news was announced by CBRE, the real estate advisor guiding the retailer through its introduction to the Belgian market. In France, Courir has almost 250 stores, 50 of which are franchised. There are 30 other sales points in other nations, more precisely Spain, Poland, Luxemburg, the Maghreb, the Middle East and French territories overseas.
