American sports brand Champion is set to open its first flagship store in the United Kingdom soon. The chosen location is Brewer Street in London, on a 1222 sqm surface.
First store in United Kingdom
HanesBrand Inc, its parent company and owner of brands like Maidenform, Cacharel and Wonderbra, already has Champion stores in Italy and Eastern Europe. Yet, this will become its first UK flagship store, and a date for the store’s opening has not yet been revealed.
The brand, founded in 1919 in the United States, gained worldwide fame in the 1990’s when a range of sports stars wore the iconic C-branded clothing. Champion regained popularity when it associated its typical sweatshirt and jogger-styled clothing with famous people like Rihanna and Kendrick.
