Different out-of-home concepts per store
The Tesco in Watford recently received a grand reopening, its main goal to attract attention to Tesco Extra in a bid to make it successful again. Thanks to Google, customers will be able to virtually look around Tesco Extra in Watford.
The largest British chain of supermarkets also opened new stores in Purley and Coventry, differentiating the three stores through their own out-of-home concepts. Watford has a Harris + Hoole coffee corner and a Giraffe’s store, while Coventry’s Tesco has a Decks’ family restaurant. The three supermarkets are testing grounds for Tesco, to see how the company should adapt supermarkets to the needs of the local population.
