New course
Tesco wants to open up Giraffe restaurants directly next to its own supermarkets, making them more appealing
towards families, who next to the necessary shopping want to do something ‘fun’.
The British chain of supermarkets has been
losing customers over the last few years and wants to set out on a new course.
The company wants to create its own small shopping centres with six to eight
different stores. Earlier this year Tesco also bought a chain of coffee shops.
Shopping outside the city
Tesco is specialised in big supermarkets
outside of the city, but because of high gas prizes, customers
are choosing other options. By creating these shopping centres Tesco hopes to
attract people who want to do more than just their daily shopping.
The Giraffe restaurants are very popular among
families, but also the elderly. The first Giraffe restaurant next to a Tesco
supermarket will soon open near London.
