Jewelry chain Tiffany & Co appointed Alessandro Bogliolo as its new CEO, succeeding Frederic Cumenal who left the company five months ago. However, Bogliolo will only take over on 2 October.
Experience with Bulgari
Bogliolo has plenty of experience in the industry, because he has been Bulgari’s COO for sixteen years. “”Alessandro has a rightly-deserved reputation for creativity and execution. He has also led several international brands to success and better performances. I believe his vision and team-focused approach perfectly match Tiffany’s values”, chairman and temporary CEO Michael J. Kowalski said.
“I am honoured and enthused about the opportunity to lead this remarkable company. Tiffany and its legendary history represent luxury, style and an extraordinary standard for quality and excellence. I look forward to working with the board and the rest of the Tiffany team to build on this foundation”, Boglolio said in a statement.
The company’s previous CEO, Frederic Cumenal, left the company five months ago after disappointing results. The jewelry maker had been looking for a replacement ever since.
